Streams Pool

The Streams pool is a dedicated memory area used exclusively by Oracle Streams to manage data replication and messaging.

  • Purpose: The Streams pool stores buffered queue messages and provides memory for Oracle Streams capture and apply processes, facilitating the movement of data across databases.
  • Dynamic Sizing: By default, the size of the Streams pool starts at zero. However, it can grow dynamically as needed, based on the requirements of Oracle Streams.
